Restorative Yoga

  • Motive Yoga Co 31 West Chewuch Road Suite 108 Winthrop, WA, 98862 United States (map)

Taught by Kellie Moore

Take the time to REST DEEPLY by attending this practice of restorative yoga.

We can learn to open up and let go by using supported yoga postures designed to support our unwinding, our relaxation.

Restorative yoga class is a time of rest and reflection, a place to restore when we are tired, exhausted, suffer from chronic pain, need a quiet place for self-care. It helps us feel fully supported and feel the stillness within us. Restorative yoga helps repair our body, our psyche, and helps us move from an elevated sympathetic state (fight or flight) into a parasympathetic state (rest & recovery). In class, we use lots of blankets, bolsters, blocks, and other props for comfort and ease.

Restorative yoga practice
- deeply relaxes the body
- supports & re-balances our nervous system
- helps us move into ‘being’ vs doing
- allows the body and mind to pause
- gives us a time for pause and come home to our inner self

What to bring: yoga mat, socks, shawl if desired (use to wrap yourself, better than a heavy blanket). Dress in layers (socks too). You want to stay warm during the practice.
