Have you learned the basics of yoga and want to take it to the next level?
This 5-class almost-beginner series is designed for people who have taken Motive’s Yoga Fundamentals Series, or for seasoned yogis interested in a refresher on key poses and principles of yoga in a non-competitive environment.
Classes meet once a week for 5 weeks in January. Each class will cover a different theme, build on postures taught in Fundamentals 1, and focus on coordinating breath and movement. You will learn key standing and arm balancing postures, revolved and bound postures, and basic backbends and inversions:
Week 1: Bound Locust, Bound Side Angle
Week 2: Warrior 3, Half Moon, Eagle
Week 3: Side Plank, Revolved Triangle
Week 4: Dancer, Camel, Bow
Week 5: Crow, Shoulderstand
Dates: Tuesday evenings 5:30-6:45, January 2-30
Led by Gwen Vernon, this Yoga Fundamentals Part 2 series provides hands-on adjustments, demonstrations, and guidance for each student in the class.
