Each month Motive supports a project, community member, or charitable event as a an act seva (service). This is yoga in action. For August we will be getting our feet wet on the banks of the Methow River to clean up the riparian area that we appreciate so much.
If you plan to join us please register in advance so that we can be properly allocated a stretch of the river as a group. As a perk, your name will be entered into a drawing to win a guided trip down the river.
On Saturday August 13th, join in with fellow stream appreciators, creek lovers, nature seekers, and river enthusiasts amongst the wonders of the Methow's rivers and creeks for a day of clean up and appreciation. We are envisioning this day as an opportunity for folks to work independently to locate and remove trash from legally accessible areas along the Methow River and its tributaries. Trash drop stations will be setup at several locations in the Valley including Winthrop Park, Twisp Park, and Carlton Hole. Feel free to dispose of trash on your own if that's easier.
Registered participants will be entered into a drawing for half day rafting trip for two on the Methow River courtesy of Methow Rafting!! Quality and quantity of trash picked up with increase odds of winning this amazing trip!

Post a photo of the trash you collected. Be sure to use the hashtag #methowrivercleanup and tag @methowrecycles, @methowrafting, and @methowsalmon.
Also, EMAIL your photo to jessica@methowrecycles.org
Winner will be drawn randomly from folks who complete these tasks!
